El mundo de los wearables y smartwatches alrededor de Windows 10 siempre ha sido bastante limitado. Con Windows 10 Mobile tuvimos la Microsoft Band, la primera gran apuesta de Microsoft por las pulseras cuantificadoras y que además tenía ciertas funciones de smartwatch.
Finalmente, Microsoft decidió acabar con la Microsoft Band ante la imposibilidad de instalarle Windows 10. Por lo que de momento lo más parecido que podemos tener a un smartwatch en Windows 10 Mobile es una pulsera de Fitbit o Garmin.
A finales de abril, conocimos la noticia de que el fabricante alemán TrekStor estaba preparando un smartwatch con Windows 10 IoT Core. Durante la Build de Microsoft que se ha celebrado esta semana, hemos podido por fin verlo en directo y comprobar cómo funciona.

Antes de nada, tenemos que dejar claro que no es un dispositivo orientado para el usuario de consumo, es sólo y exclusivamente para empresas. Por lo tanto, eso explica que su diseño no sea para nada atractivo ni se haya cuidado.
En el vídeo podéis ver cómo es su interfaz, la cual tampoco es definitiva, y aún así nunca tendrá una interfaz definitiva ya que esta se diseñará según las necesidades e indicaciones de la empresa que adquiera los dispositivos. Se trata de un smartwatch con protección IP67 contra el polvo y agua, además de una pulsera resistente que hace más resistente al dispositivo a los golpes y arañazos.

Como el rendimiento no es tampoco una prioridad en este wearable, monta un Snapdragon 210, procesador de gama baja, inferior por ejemplo al clásico Snapdragon 400 que hemos visto que solían montar los relojes con Android Wear.
El hardware en cualquier caso, al igual que sucede con el software, se podrá personalizar para la empresa añadiendo por ejemplo lector de códigos de barras o pulsómetro.
El precio final no es fijo, ya que depende de multitud de factores sobre su configuración de hardware, software, número de unidades, etc. Pero según han dicho podría partir desde los 120 dólares, pero recordamos una vez que no es un dispositivo para la gente de la calle.
